STRENGETHENING
FAMILES,
BUILDING FUTURES
Together, we can create a nurturing environment where families can thrive, and in turn, build resilient and harmonious communities for generations to come.
THE NETWORK
At Jacksonville Network for Strengthening Families our goal is to empower families in the Jacksonville area by providing them with the tools and resources they need to thrive.
Through our training, services, and support, we aim to increase prepared marriages, reduce divorce rates, and promote financial and emotional support for children by non-custodial parents. We believe that by strengthening families, we can build a stronger community, and we are committed to making a positive impact in the lives of those we serve.
In 2002, community leaders led by Brother Willie “Pete” Jackson founded The Network to aid Jacksonville’s high-risk families. With initial volunteer efforts and strategic planning by Robyn Cenizal, it secured local funding in partnership with the Department of Children and Families. Officially launched in 2005, it expanded under Pete's leadership, offering tailored training to over 4,000 families using customized workshops like the 7 Habits of Successful Families. After Robyn’s retirement, the Network transitioned to Fresh Ministries under Michelle Hughes's guidance. Despite Pete's passing in 2017, his legacy inspires ongoing efforts to revitalize The Network.
